Portland Trip

Last weekend I had the opportunity to take a little trip to Portland with some girlfriends to attend our good friend Carol's wedding. As always it was wonderful to get away with just us girls. I love these girls and am truly grateful to have their friendships. We missed the ones who couldn't make the trip up. The night we arrived we went to a bridal shower/bachelorette party for Carol and had so much fun laughing, eating, playing games, and laughing more 'til it hurt. It was so neat to see how completely happy Carol is. She has patiently waited to find Mr. Right and now she has. I am happy she has found someone who is so madly in love with her and treats her like a queen and her son like his own. It was a beautiful wedding and I was glad to have been able to share their day with them. She made a beautiful bride and they make a beautiful family.

It was a rather quick trip and other than the bridal shower and wedding we didn't have time to do much. However, I must say we did travel in style. Our rental car was a Lincoln MKS!! It was a beautiful car and was decked out! I had never seen a car with seat coolers before. It is now my dream car! We didn't want to give it back. Lisa did a fabulous job navigating us through the city along with the help of the GPS and had a little too much fun with that much power at the tip of her little toes! We did squeeze in a little time to do some shopping. That is always a must while on vacation right! That night after the wedding we drove up to Multnomah Falls. They were beautiful! Waterfalls are mezmorizing to me. I have never seen a waterfall that tall. Then later that night we took in a late night movie, 'The Proposal'. I loved it! It was very funny.

All in all, even though it was a very short trip, we had a great time! I am very lucky to have such wonderful friends and that we have been able to stay so close over the years. Love you girls and can't wait until our next girls' getaway!!

(sorry the pics are out of order. It wouldn't let me arrange them.)

Oh and for those who might be wondering, my face and nose healed just fine. I lost my sense of taste and smell for a while and couldn't breath well, but thankfully that is all better now. It made it all worth it that our team won the championship!
