Thankful

Wow it has been a while since I have had time, or taken the time actually, to sit and update our blog. And what better to get back on track with than things I am thankful for. This week with Thanksgiving I have really tried to focus on those things I am blessed with. And with a tragedy in our small community it really makes you step back and reflect on what you have to be grateful for. I take advantage of a lot of them most of the time. Here are just a few of the blessings in my life:

My Family. I am so thankful for my little family. They give me so much joy. I know I don't take the time to slow down and enjoy them as much as I should. I do have three of the best kids around. And am blessed to be adding one more to our little clan. That's right #4 will be joining us early next June! We can't wait!

My Husband. I can't say enough about how amazing he is. He is so good to me and takes good care of our little family. And he does all he can to provide for us. I love him more than I ever thought was possible. He is my very best friend. I love that he has a way to make me laugh when I am having a bad day. He keeps our life full of fun and energy. He is a great father. All of our kids adore him and love the time they get to spend with him. I am thankful for the honorable life he lives and that we will be able to spend eternity together.

My parents and brothers. I was raised in such a good family. I am thankful for the values I was taught growing up. I love my parents and all they do for us. And I am grateful for my brothers and sister-in-law. We don't get to be together very often but I cherish the moments we can be.

Ryan's Family. I married into a great family. They have completely accepted me as one of their own. I am so thankful for all of their support. I also gained the sister I never had when I married into Ryan's family and I will forever be grateful for that.

The Gospel. Where would I be without this amazing blessing in my life. I am blessed to know that whatever happens in life, I have a loving Heavenly Father watching over me and things will always work out how the are supposed to if I have the faith to see them through. I know we have always been watched out for and taken care of. I am thankful to have a testimony of this Gospel and for the blessings that come from it.

My Job. Especially in our troubled economy right now I am thankful to have a job. And I couldn't ask for better. I have an amazing boss who takes such good care of us and works with us so we can keep our families a priority. We have a fun group to work with and all get along amazingly well and I am glad to call them my friends.

My Calling. I love serving in the YW program. We have great girls in our ward and they have truly strengthened my testimony. They are such strong young women. I love each one of them and am grateful for the blessings I have received from being able to work with them.

My Town. I never thought that I could get comfortable making my home anywhere else besides where I grew up. But we love our little community and this is our home now. We love the people here and are blessed to have become a part of them.

Our Home. I love my little house. I do complain sometimes that it is not big enough. But we have a stable roof over our heads and are blessed to be able to provide for our kids. I just have to think of the pioneers in their little homes divided off into rooms with sheets and it humbles me. I definately take advantage of what I do have.

Good Friends. I am thankful for all the friends I do have. I am thankful for all they bring to my life. I love the times I get to spend with them, whether running away for a girls weekend, or club or craft nights, or just late nights visiting. I am blessed to have each of you in my life.

Happy Thanksgiving!
